Iltizam Selangor Penyayang programme to begin in July, offers more benefits to citizens

HULU LANGAT, May 18 — The Iltizam Selangor Penyayang (ISP) programme that replaced the Inisiatif Peduli Rakyat (IPR) would be implemented in July, says Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amiruddin Shari.

He said the scheme will be introduced to all districts in Selangor once the new formula has been fully completed.

“The registration counter for the Bantuan Keluarga Sejahtera Selangor (Bingkas) will be opened to introduce the state government’s new approach to helping those in need.

“We will also do the official launching of the Selangor Screening programme (Selangor Saring) that has already started at several community service centres within the state. This is an additional programme under the ISP,” he said.

Amirudin said this when met after attending the Selangor Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house at Laman Niaga Komuniti in Bandar Baru Bangi, last night.

The Menteri Besar said ISP highlights the wider context of being more concerned, caring and humane towards each other, with the aim of helping to improve the people’s welfare.

Through the scheme, more state citizens would receive the benefits, including through the Bingkas programme — which replaced the Kasih Ibu Smart Selangor (Kiss) — that will enable up to 30,000 families to be assisted compared to 25,000 families previously.

ISP will also improve the state’s health initiatives by offering a screening programme for men to detect colon cancer.
