MB visits family of Usas student killed in crash

HULU SELANGOR, May 15 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari today visited the family of a Universiti Sultan Azlan Shah (Usas) student who died in a fatal crash involving four others on the North-South Expressway (NSE) in Kuala Kangsar, last Wednesday.

Amirudin spent half an hour meeting Aidol Munir Akbar Abd Aziz and Maizatulakmam Md Taha, the parents of the late Muhammad Nasrun, in Kuala Kubu Bharu, and gave a cash donation to the family.

“On behalf of the state government, we made this visit to give our condolences on the loss of a child who is an asset to the family. We were also saddened by their loss.

“May the souls of the deceased and his friends who died, receive blessings from Allah, His protection and given the ease in the journey to heaven. Insya Allah (God willing),” he said when met by SelangorKini.

In the May 11 incident, apart from Muhammad Nasrun, four other Usas students who also died in the accident were Iqbal Hasnun Halimi, 23; Ahmad Naim Najmi Ahmad Hafizan, 21; Muhammad Nabil Haikal Muhammad Fariz, 19, and Ahmad Akmal Ahmad Mokhlis, 20.

The five victims died when the car they were travelling in caught fire after colliding with two trailers at KM 245.2 of the NSE northbound.
