SHAH ALAM, May 18 — The Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) will hold a PJ@Raya open house this Friday (May 20) with the concept of Malaysian states’ food.

Its Corporate Communications Unit said the event that will be held at the Dataran Boulevard, Jalan Yong Shook Lin, Section 52, will serve nasi dagang, royal pudding, mee kolok, rojak pasembor, char keow teow, lemang, satay, roasted lamb and fruits.

The programme that starts at 7.45pm will also feature performances by invited artists as well as a ‘duit raya’ donations event and various interesting activities.

“This open house aims to strengthen the relationship between MBPJ and the community, especially the residents of Petaling Jaya.

“This (open house) practice has become synonymous with the Malaysian community and is symbolic of the efforts to strengthen interracial unity,” said the council in a statement.

Thus, MBPJ invited the entire Petaling Jaya community to come and enliven the festive celebration.
