HULU LANGAT, May 18 — Selangor would continue to implement programmes to boost the state’s economic growth in preparation for growing inflation uncertainties.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said he would participate in several international missions to several countries in Europe, the United States as well as South Korea from the end of this month until June, with the aim to improve economic activities and attract more investment.

“The main plan now is to focus on boosting the state’s economy. Last year we organised the Selangor International Business Summit and the Selangor Aviation Show. This year we will organise it again,” he said when met at the Selangor Aidilfitri open house for the Hulu Langat district, here last night.

Last week, Amirudin reported that Selangor managed to record the highest approved investment value of RM7.5 billion last year for the manufacturing sector, which had created 14,393 job opportunities for the people.

He said the record contributed by 247 projects was proof that investors remained confident in the business ecosystem in Selangor despite the Covid-19 challenges.
