SHAH ALAM, June 15 — The Menteri Besar has invited the public to attend the Selangor Penyayang Roadshow in the Hulu Langat district on June 19.
Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the roadshow will be held at Taman Kosas’ field in Ampang from 8am until 5.30pm, preparing various programmes specifically for residents of the state.
“Do not miss the opportunity to understand the state government’s programmes specially meant for Selangor residents. InsyaAllah, I will also be there,” he said in a Facebook post.
The programme is aimed at promoting various welfare initiatives for the people, in which 23 state subsidiaries are also participating.
The implementation of the Iltizam Selangor Penyayang involves a RM350 allocation, as a replacement for the Peduli Rakyat initiative so that more residents can benefit from the state government’s programmes.
These include Bantuan Kehidupan Sejahtera Selangor (Bingkas) which replaces Kasih Ibu Smart Selangor (Kiss) and which will help 30,000 families compared to 25,000 families before this.
Also implemented is the Selangor Saring free health screening programme to detect chronic illnesses with a RM1.5 million allocation, set to benefit up to 5,000 people especially those in high-risk categories.
The roadshow is also scheduled to be held in Kuala Langat, Kuala Selangor, Petaling and Gombak.
Asides from information on the initiatives, Selangor Penyayang will also include a variety of aerobic events, cooking competitions, flower arrangements, people’s sports, skateboarding, and e-sports.
