MBSJ postpones two-hour parking limit in four locations in Subang Jaya, Puchong

SHAH ALAM, June 3 — The Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) has postponed the implementation of the two-hour parking limit in four commercial areas, which was scheduled to take effect on June 1.

Its Corporate and Strategic Communication director Muhammad Azli Miswan said this was because the state government has yet to approve and gazette the amendments made on the Road Transport Order (parking allocation) MBSJ 2022.

“If the two-hour parking limit is implemented soon, it will help ease the traffic congestion and double-parking issues in the ‘hot spots’,” he said in a statement.

Muhammad Azli said MBSJ had also allocated 1,922 out of the 10,027 parking bays in the selected locations to be gazetted.

“MBSJ has also updated the infrastructure in preparation for the two-hour parking limit, such as painting the bays, putting up the signboards, and coordinating adjustments to the smart parking app,” he added.

MBSJ had previously informed of implementing a two-hour parking limit in parts of Jalan USJ 10, Jalan SS15, Jalan Bandar Puteri and Jalan Kenari from June 1.
