More than 100,000 people visit Selangor Pavillion at KLIBF

KUALA LUMPUR, June 13 — The Selangor Pavilion at the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fest (KLIBF) 2022 had received more than 100,000 guests throughout the ten-day event.

A representative of the Selangor Public Library Corporation (PPAS) said among the state agencies featured that were most visited were Tourism Selangor and Selangor Technical Skills Development (STDC).

Other agencies that had also gained attraction were Selangor Malay Customs and Heritage Corporation (Padat) and KDEB Waste Management.

“Due to the strategic location of the Selangor Pavilion near the entrance, we received a satisfactory amount of visitors.”

“The agencies involved had also given a positive response and said they were able to share information and of the state government’s initiatives,” said the spokesman.

The Selangor Pavillion at the KLIBF 2022 was set up from 10am to 10pm, sharing with the public various information on the state administration’s initiatives and programmes.

Eighteen state agencies were involved including education, scholarships, job opportunities and third language acquisition.

The Heart and Mind of a Literary Man (Hati dan Minda Sasterawan) programme was also showcased, featuring several renowned literary figures such as National Laureates Datuk Dr Zurinah Hassan, Dato’ Baharuddin Zainal, Prof Emeritus Dr Muhamad Saleh and Selangor-born writer Fadli Al-Akiti.
