MBSA to hold Car Free Day this Sunday, several roads temporarily closed

SHAH ALAM, July 13 — The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) will close some roads in conjunction with the 2022 Shah Alam Car Free Day programme on July 17.

According to MBSA, the programme which will start at Dataran Kemerdekaan aims to promote a healthy lifestyle among the city’s residents.

“Therefore, MBSA will temporarily close some roads during the event, starting from 6.30am to 9.30am.

“The roads involved are Persiaran Bandaraya (Dataran Kemerdekaan), Persiaran Perbandaran, Persiaran Tasik, Persiaran Masjid, Persiaran Dato’ Menteri and Persiaran Damai,” said the local council in a statement today.

MBSA has requested the cooperation of road users to not use the routes within the specified period of time to avoid traffic congestion.

“Please abide by the instructions issued by MBSA and use alternative routes to get to your destination,” said MBSA.
