SHAH ALAM, July 15 — The e-coupon digital parking payment system has been successfully implemented in Selangor and has garnered positive user feedback.

State executive councillor for local government Ng Sze Han said since the system’s launch on April 1, the appointed e-coupon agents have not received any complaints or reports.

“A total of 455 e-coupon agents, including convenience stores, have been appointed to assist users of the Smart Selangor Parking (SSP) application and guarantee the system runs successfully.

“So far, we have not received any reports. We believe there is no significant concern and that the system is functioning smoothly given that more users are being accustomed to the system,” he told SelangorKini.

Ng, who is also the Kinrara state assemblyman, said that old scratch-and-display parking coupons worth RM49,680 worth had been converted to e-coupons under the local councils in Selangor.

Beginning April 1, all local councils in the state had begun accepting payments for vehicle parkings using the e-coupon system.

The ease the payment process, the public can download the SSP app from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
