SHAH ALAM, July 26 — The Selangor Penyayang roadshow, which will be hosted in Gombak on July 31, will highlight various new and improved initiatives for the people.
The event organised by the state government will start from 8am to 5.30pm and is scheduled to take place at the Padang Awam Batu Caves.
Officiated by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, a budget of RM350 million has been set aside for several welfare initiatives so that more people can make use of the services offered by the state administration.
The Selangor Saring programme to detect chronic diseases will also be held, especially for those who are at risk.
In addition, the event will also see artist performances, aerobics, cooking competitions, flower arrangements, local sports, and exhibitions.
The Selangor Agricultural Development Corporation (PKPS) will also be offering affordable sales of fresh goods including whole chicken proceed at RM15, grade B chicken eggs for RM12.50 per pack, cut chicken for RM10 for 800 grammes, RM25 (2kg), bones for RM35 per kg, fresh meat for RM35 per kg, and mackerel and sardines for RM10 (per kg).
Similar events have previously taken place at Taman Kosas Ampang Jaya, Dataran Pantai Morib, Kuala Langat Stadium Utama Kuala Selangor and Dataran Boulevard Laman MBPJ.
