GOMBAK, July 31 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari handed over a donation totalling RM100,000 to two associations in conjunction with the Warriors’ Day today.

The donations of RM50,000 each were given to the representative of the Malaysia Ex-Policemen Association of Selangor Rosli Hashim and the Malaysia Armed Forces Veterans Association of Selangor representative Mohd Din Hosin.

The handover ceremony was held during the Selangor Penyayang roadshow in Padang Awam Batu Caves, here today.

Amirudin in his speech said the donations were a show of respect, support and recognition from the state government to all security personnel who had sacrificed to protect the country’s sovereignty until it achieved independence.

During the same event, Amirudin also launched the state-level National Day campaign, in conjunction with the National Day celebration on August 31.

For this year’s celebration, Selangor has chosen the theme #KitaSelangorTeguhBersama, to highlight the unity and courage shown by the people of Selangor in facing current challenges.
