SHAH ALAM, Aug 25 — The Selangor Agricultural Development Corporation (PKPS) has forged a partnership with Pernama Network (Pernama) and Taqa Resources Sdn Bhd, in a bid to boost the state’s agricultural development.
Group chief executive officer Mohamad Khairil Mohamad Razi said the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between the parties today will identify potential agricultural projects to the benefit of all.
He said the MoU signing is also a prestigious honour for Selangor since the two organisations have their respective advantages when it comes to marketing agro-food products.
“As an example, Pernama is a firm corporate entity with its network of stores, business lots, and sustainable enterprises, with a fixed market among national defense personnel.
“To this, when presented with the opportunity to market Ehsan products at Pernama outlets, PKPS will certainly not miss this golden chance,” Mohamad Khairil said.
He was speaking at the signing ceremony held at Wisma PKPS earlier today, which was also attended by Selangor State Government Secretary Datuk Haris Kasim, Pernama chairman Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Zainal, and Taqa Resources chairman Tan Sri Musa Hassan.
Mohamad Khairil added that Taqa Resources has experience in handling import and export for agricultural products, including supplying food items like onions, potatoes and spices from abroad.
As such, PKPS is hopeful the joint venture can benefit from strategic planning, specifically in the expansion of business development for all three organisations.
“With today’s MoU document, I am confident there will be further follow-up discussions for a more detailed understanding to be carried out in the future,” he said.
