SUBANG JAYA, Aug 25 — Seri Setia constituents are invited to take part in the state’s free health screening programme Selangor Saring at Dewan PKNS Kelana Jaya, on August 27.
Its state assemblyman Halimey Abu Bakar informed the programme will run from 9am to 3pm and participants need to register early via the SELangkah mobile app.
“However, residents could also come straight to the hall as walk-ins are accepted and we will help to register them.
“This programme offers health checks to detect various diseases such as heart, hypertension, diabetes, breast cancer and prostate cancer. Free eyes check is also available,” he said on Facebook.
To ensure the programme’s success, the state government has set aside RM3.4 million in its budget, which would benefit 39,000 people, particularly those with a family medical history, who are obese and practise an unhealthy lifestyle.
The programme, which will run until September 4 provides physical screening, blood and urine tests, eye, cervical, and breast cancer screenings, as well as occult faeces or colon and prostate cancer testing.
