SHAH ALAM, Aug 7 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari has congratulated national rhythmic gymnast Ng Joe Ee on her success in winning two gold medals at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games yesterday.
He said that the national rhythmic gymnast’s 27.800 points in the ribbon disciplines had astounded gymnastics around the world.
“Congratulations to Ng Joe Ee who had not bagged one but two gold medals at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
“You are truly an inspiration to us all Joe Ee,” the post read.
Joe Ee won gold in the ball and ribbon events in her first Commonwealth Games. In the finals at Arena Birmingham, she scored 29.700 points in the ball discipline and 27.800 points in the ribbon discipline categories.
The two gold medals helped the national contingent achieve its six gold medal target at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
