KL to be lit up in orange in conjunction with World Patient Safety Day — Health DG

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 13 — Several buildings in Kuala Lumpur will be lit up in orange in conjunction with World Patient Safety Day this Saturday (September 17).

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah in a Facebook posting yesterday said three iconic locations, namely Symphony Lake KLCC, KL Tower and DBKL Tower will shine in orange from 8pm to 10pm.

Also joining in the show of solidarity are the Kuala Lumpur Hospital, Cheras Rehabilitation Hospital, Hospital Canselor Tuanku Mukhriz, Universiti Malaya Medical Centre, Tuanku Mizan Military Hospital and the National Respiratory Institute.

Dr Noor Hisham said many interesting activities including a photography competition would also be held at Symphony Lake KLCC in conjunction with the event.

World Patient Safety Day which is observed annually on September 17, calls for global solidarity and concerted action by all parties to improve patient safety and recognise it as a global health priority.
