SUBANG, Sept 10 — The second instalment of the Selangor Aviation Show (SAS) 2022 has helped in promoting local military action-drama, Air Force The Movie: Selagi Bernyawa, thus furthering public interest in the aviation and aerospace industry.

Its director Zulkarnain Azhar said the air show has something in common with the movie as both revolved around the same industry.

“The air show has greatly contributed to promoting Air Force The Movie: Selagi Bernyawa and hopefully we could achieve RM30 million of ticket sales soon.

“We were honoured to hear that some of the crowd were willing to register as public visitors at this event because they want to meet the cast members,” he said at a press conference after the meet and greet session with the cast members at the SkyPark Regional Aviation Centre, here today.

The meet and greet session was joined by Aiman Hakim Ridza, Nas-T, Pablo Amirul, Iman Corinne and Esma Daniel.

The cast members took the chance to have a chat with their fans and several lucky fans who gave correct answers during the quiz session were given signed posters and t-shirts.

The movie tells the story of an Air Special Forces (Paskau) team fighting for survival in a fictional terrorist-controlled country Namburi as they await the Royal Malaysian Air Force’s rescue.

Within six days of its premiere, the movie has recorded RM13 million in total ticket sales and is reportedly set to screen internationally in Korea, Japan and Taiwan.
