SUBANG, Sept 10 — Visitors to the Selangor Aviation Show (SAS) 2022 have lauded the event’s smooth process starting from its registration counter, which is located at the Subang Skypark Terminal Subang.

From there, public visitors were transported to the exhibition centre at the SkyPark Regional Aviation Centre (Skypark RAC) by buses provided by the organiser, Invest Selangor Berhad (Invest Selangor).

One of the enthusiastic visitors, Tiffany Yee Lui who came from Putra Heights was satisfied with the service provided by the organiser as it helped to ease her family’s journey to the event.

Tiffany, 38, brought along her two children to experience the air show as part of their school holidays activity.

“This is my first time coming to such an event after the pandemic and my children, aged 9 and 5, were ecstatic upon seeing various types of aircraft being displayed at the venue.

“What makes them more excited was the chance not just to see the aircraft but also explore the cockpit setting,” she said, adding that she arrived at the terminal at 9am.

Meanwhile, Azmizul Aldin, 33, from Subang, decided to visit the air show after seeing the SAS 2022 advertisement.

“I made an online reservation for my family three days ago. We were thrilled to see what the event got to offer, hence I brought along my twin daughters, my son and my wife.

“The event was lively and entertaining as the organiser also provided specific activities for children such as colouring contests and paper plane craft,” said Azmizul who works as a semiconductor technician.

As for flight simulator engineer, T S Yogeswaran, his 10-year-old son has shown a strong interest in aircraft since he was 2 years old.

“This experience could boost his spirit to learn more about the aerospace and aviation industry despite his young age.

“I believe that early exposure also plays an important role in shaping the children’s future. We look forward to visiting the next instalment of the air show,” he said.

Yesterday,  Invest Selangor chief executive officer Datuk Hasan Azhari Idris said the total registration for both the trade visitors and members of the public has reached 18,000, far surpassing the initial target of 8,000 people.

He said they had to close the online registration system for public visitors after the total registration hit 12,000 people.

The second instalment of the state’s air show started on Thursday (September 8) until today and featured industry-specific talks and forums to share the latest information, knowledge and news among the attendees as well as its visitors.

SAS 2022 was opened to trade visitors throughout the three-day event, while the general public and students are encouraged to visit on the third day.
