SHAH ALAM, Sept 30 — Selangor FC has appointed Dennis Bekking as the new technical director ahead of the club’s preparations for next season’s competition.
Its chief executive officer Johan Kamal Hamidon said the former director of FC Twente academy is tasked to manage the player’s technical development on every level.
“His vast experience as a sport and technical director in Holland as well as having a good understanding of Malaysia’s football environment would help him to introduce and integrate the modern football system to our coach, thus, helping to develop the talent-nurturing system in Selangor FC,” he said in a statement yesterday.
Meanwhile, Bekking said he was excited to play his role and wants to help identify young talent as what has been practised by the Red Giant previously.
“To have future prospects,We should provide the right youth development platform, beginning from B18 to the main squad.
“I am ready to improve the levels of professionalism among young players, along with the coach and Selangor FC employees,” he said.
On September 24, the football club announced the appointment of Tan Cheng Hoe as the main coach while K Sanbagamaran was appointed as the squad’s technical advisor.
