KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 30 — Some 28 participants including from Pakatan Harapan component parties joined in the Asian Women’s Global Leadership Network Workshop, organised by Wanita Berdaya Selangor (WBS) earlier today.

State executive councillor for women Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud said the programme, jointly organised together with Japan’s Sasakawa Peace Foundation, is a platform for participants to hone their political skills via presentations from both local and international speakers.

She said the workshop also aims to discover new leadership talents, with a progressive vision for the nation’s development.

“Among the speakers in this programme are experienced political experts, activists and academicians. They will be sharing knowledge that is beneficial for participants,” Dr Siti Mariah said.

Earlier on, she officiated the three-day programme at the Intercontinental Hotel, here.

The third instalment of the workshop, which first took place in 2020, will be continued virtually for three months beginning this November until January next year.
