Another Rumah Idaman project launched to help people own affordable homes

SEPANG, Oct 29 — Another Rumah Selangorku Idaman project has been launched in Cybersouth, Dengkil, to assist more people in Selangor to own affordable and decent first homes.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said Rumah Idaman Melur consists of 1,448 units, each with an area of 1,000 square feet, with three bedrooms and sold being offered for sale at RM250,000.

It is also partially furnished and provided with two parking spaces. It is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.

“This event is yet another achievement of the state government in increasing homeownership among the B40 and M40 groups.

“The state government is constantly concerned with the welfare of the people, particularly in terms of providing high-quality and comfortable homes,” he said when delivering a speech at the launch of the event.

As of now, according to Amirudin, 4,631 Rumah Idaman units have been constructed over three projects, including Rumah Idaman Abadi in Kajang and Rumah Idaman Bukit Jelutong in Shah Alam.

“One of the first approved development projects, Rumah Idaman Abadi Kajang, has its finished construction. Some of its units have been given to buyers.

“As for the Melur project, its registration period begins today. Based on past records, we are confident that all of the units will be reserved within a month,” he added.

Amirudin had previously revealed the state government’s plan to build six Rumah Idaman projects to assist the people living and working in Selangor purchase their first home.

Some of the projects are located in Bandar Saujana Putra, Puchong and Puncak Alam.
