MBSA calls on public to utilise compound discount incentive

By Zareef Muzammil

SHAH ALAM, Oct 17 — The public is advised to take the opportunity and benefit from the compound discount incentive of up to 70 per cent over the next two weeks.

Deputy Mayor Mohd Rashidi Ruslan said MBSA is also offering a parking compound reduction of RM10, starting this month until October 31, to mark Shah Alam’s 22nd-anniversary celebration.

“I ask all Shah Alam residents with selected compounds and parking arrears to use this opportunity to pay them off throughout this month.

“The offer is made in conjunction with the city’s anniversary, and as a gesture to residents facing financial constraints,” he said.

Mohd Rashidi was speaking at the Shah Alam Car-Free Day program at Dataran Kemerdekaan in Section 14 yesterday. Kota Anggerik state assemblyman Najwan Halimi was also in attendance.

He added that MBSA conducted a roadshow with the Residents Representative Council from each zone yesterday, to publicise the compound reduction campaign.

Alhamdulillah, so far the responses have been encouraging as many took the chance to pay their outstanding compounds. Hopefully this opportunity will not go to waste,” Mohd Rashidi said.

Asides from the compound discount, MBSA is offering incentives for free facilities on select dates, in conjunction with Shah Alam’s anniversary.

Free parking at the MBSA Guest House Building and Section 19 Hub was also offered on October 11, as well as the rental of MBSA’s multi-purpose hall and court for sports activities on October 10.

Free membership for the MBSA Library will also be promoted and offered throughout this month.
