GE15: Amirudin arrives with sea of supporters, second candidate on ballot papers

SHAH ALAM, Nov 5 — Loud roars and cheering emerged from Pakatan Harapan (Harapan) supporters accompanying Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari during the candidate nomination process in Gombak earlier today.

Amirudin, the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (Keadilan) vice-president, was announced as the second candidate for the parliamentary seat by the Election Commission, facing off against four other contenders.

The other candidates include three-term incumbent Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali on the Perikatan Nasional (PN) ticket, Datuk Megat Zulkarnain Omardin on the Barisan Nasional (BN) ticket, Datuk Dr Aziz Jamaludin Mhd Tahir on the Parti Pejuang Tanah Air (Pejuang) ticket, and independent candidate Zulkifli Ahmad.

The candidate nomination process officially closed at 10am, taking place at SMK Sungai Pasu.

P095 Tanjong Karang: Siti Rahayu Baharin (Harapan) challenging Datuk Habibah Mohd Yusof (BN) and Datuk Zulkafperi Hanapi (PN)

P096 Kuala Selangor: Incumbent Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad (Harapan) challenged by Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz (BN) and Mohd Noor Mohd Sahar (PN)

P099 Ampang: Rodziah Ismail (Harapan) challenging incumbent Datuk Zuraida Kamarudin (Parti Bangsa Malaysia)

P102 Bangi: Syahredzan Johan (Harapan) challenged by Muhammad Nazrul Hakim Nazir (PN) and Datuk Hoh Hee Lee (BN)
