GE15: More schools needed in Shah Alam to accommodate high-dense population

By Sheeda Fathil

SHAH ALAM, Nov 9 — Pakatan Harapan (Harapan) is determined to bring forward a proposal for more secondary schools to be built in Shah Alam to accommodate the high population density in the area.

The coalition’s candidate for the parliamentary seat, Azli Yusof, said grievances are often raised by residents who are burdened by having to send their children to school far away from their residential areas.

“Previously, residents in Section U10, U11 and U12 often complained that there are no secondary schools in their area and they have to send their children far away to schools in Meru, Bukit Jelutong.

“In addition to burdening the parents, the roads are also congested because people from many areas are concentrated at those schools all at once,” he said when met, here yesterday.

Previously, Azli, who is also an engineering management graduate from the University of Missouri-Rolla, wants to redevelop the Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor flats in Section 16.

In the 15th general election, Azli is contesting against Hizatul Isham Abdul Jalil from Barisan Nasional, Dr Afif Bahardin from Perikatan Nasional and Muhammad Rafique Rashi from Pejuang.
