SHAH ALAM, Nov 4 — Two roads in Ampang will be temporarily closed off for the 15th general election’s (GE15) candidate nomination process tomorrow, said the Ampang Jaya district police.
It said the closure will begin at 6am, involving Jalan Pandan Ilmu (in front of Dewan MPAJ Pandan Indah) and Jalan Ampang (in front of Dewan Dato Ahmad Razali).
“The temporary closure of these two roads is to maintain security control at the GE15 candidate nomination centre, to ensure everything runs smoothly.
“Road users are advised to use the temporary alternative road, until the roads reopen once the candidate nomination process has been completed,” said the district police headquarters in a Facebook post.
Ampang Jaya police requested that Jalan Pandan Ilmu and Jalan Ampang users be patient and cooperate with traffic control officers.
“This is to guarantee the safety of the public during the nomination process. Plan your trip ahead, to avoid any difficulties,” it said.
The Election Commission has set November 19 as the polling day for GE15, while the nomination of candidates will take place tomorrow (November 5), with early voting on November 15.
