GOMBAK, Nov 18 — With less than 24 hours left in the 15th general election (GE15) campaign period, Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari continues to attract thousands of supporters to his talks, which signals the high likelihood of the coalition reclaiming Gombak.

In his ceramah programme at Pinggiran Batu Caves last night, the voters showed their support for the Pakatan Harapan (Harapan) candidate for Gombak parliamentary seat, who will take against incumbent Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali.

The support was expressed with loud chants of  ‘reformasi’, ‘lawan tetap lawan’and ‘kita boleh’.

Amirudin, who is also the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (Keadilan) vice president, asserted that the Gombak voters are now ready for change and reject the idea of having a “thief” serving as their representative.

“People in Gombak have dignity and will be making an important decision on November 19 (tomorrow). The act of betraying people’s mandate cannot be tolerated,” he said.

Meanwhile, Keadilan secretary-general Datuk Seri Saifudin Nasution Ismail reminded the voters that the voting process tomorrow will be the best chance to rid of the traitors of the party.

“Let Azmin be part of our dark history. Tomorrow, when unfolding the ballot paper, do not even glance at the first candidate.

“Just vote for the second candidate, Amirudin from Harapan. After voting, remind your friends and families too,” said Saifuddin, who is also the Kulim Bandar Baharu candidate for Harapan.
