Agong presents instruments of appointment to 11 Malaysian envoys

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 2 — The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah today presented the instruments of appointment to 11 Malaysian envoys assigned to missions abroad in a ceremony held at Istana Negara here today.

The Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah was in attendance.

The newly-appointed Malaysian envoys are Datuk Seri Ahmad Fadil Samsuddin, a former Comptroller of Istana Negara Royal Household, who has been appointed as Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates; Datuk Tan Yang Thai (Vietnam); Dr Adina Kamarudin (Germany); Zainal Izran Zahari (Senegal); Mohd Adli Abdullah (Kazakhstan); Edi Irwan Mahmud (Laos); Mohamad Nasri Abdul Rahman (Jordan) and Ilham Tuah Illias (Uzbekistan).

Also receiving their instruments are Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, who has been assigned as Malaysian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Marzita Marzuki (New Zealand) and Badli Hisham Adam (Sri Lanka).

Also present at the ceremony was the secretary-general of the Foreign Ministry Datuk Seri Amran Mohamed Zain.
