PETALING JAYA, Dec 22 — The state government will begin making arrangements for post-flood assistance in Terengganu and Kelantan on Monday (December 26).

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the coordination will also include state government agencies, to ensure the operation can run smoothly.

“We will decide which locations we will go to for cleaning works and post-flood visit programmes.

“As of now, the rescue operation is still ongoing. 40 members from the Selangor Volunteers (Serve) squad are also on standby and will be deployed should the Malaysia Fire and Rescue Department allows,” he said.

Amirudin was speaking at the launch of ‘The World of DC Exhibition’ at Tropicana Gardens Mall, earlier today.

On Tuesday (December 20), Amirudin said the state government is ready to provide assistance to flood-stricken areas via Skuad Pantas and Serve.

Apart from that, it also will channel RM500,000 in financial assistance to Terengganu and Kelantan respectively.
