MPAJ renews over 7,000 licences for business premises, traders as of Dec 20

AMPANG, Dec 22 — The Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) has renewed some 4,959 business premise licences and 2,426 licences for traders lfor next year, involving a total collection of RM3.5 million as of December 20.

Its president Mohd Fauzi Mohd Yatim said the licence renewal must be done before January 1, 2023, to avoid a late charge of RM360.

“We urge the business premise licence and trader licence holders to renew their permits for next year to avoid penalty.

“We hope to continue empowering traders towards a sustainable city next year,” he said when speaking at the MPAJ Business Licence Renewal Mini Carnival, here yesterday.

Earlier, over 300 visitors participated in the inaugural carnival, which was held as part of MPAJ’s initiative to encourage more business premise licence holders to renew their permits.

Meanwhile, the renewal licence counter is also open at Galeri Aras 4, Menara MPAJ until December 31.

The counter is open from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
