SHAH ALAM, Dec 7 — The Iltizam Selangor Sihat (ISS) has recorded some 83,537 active recipients while another 405 applications are being processed, says Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

He said the review process will be shortened and improved.

“Selcare Management will improve and shorten the approval period for the ISS programme from time to time,” he said in his 2023 Selangor Budget winding-up speech during the Selangor State Legislative Assembly sitting, here yesterday.

Commenting further on the period taken to approve the ISS application, Amirudin said it takes between six to 10 days to be processed if all the documents are complete.

“For applications with inadequate documents, the process may take up to almost a month to be processed as we have to review it due to documentation problems,” he said.

Previously, Amirudin announced that ISS recipients are eligible for basic treatment of RM500, insurance coverage of up to RM5,000 and death benefits (RM1,000).

Apart from treatments and medical assistance, the Menteri Besar said Selangor also offers various vaccination programmes to ensure more people in the state are protected against viruses.
