SHAH ALAM, Dec 22 — A total of 400 students from several schools in the Subang Jaya constituency have received school aid in the form of bags, shoes and stationery.

Its state assemblyman Michelle Ng Mei Sze said the RM7,000 in assistance was channelled in collaboration with the Subang Jaya Buddhist Association.

“We organised such a programme every year and this time, we collaborated with the association to ensure more students can be assisted.

This year, a total of 400 students from low-income families were assisted and their names have been provided by their respective schools,” she told SelangorKini yesterday.

Michelle added that she hoped the assistance would ease the burden on the students’ families.

Previously, Michelle had said that the Subang Jaya constituency has allocated some RM94,225 for school assistance from January until November.

Out of the total, a total of 16 schools have received the funds including primary schools, secondary schools, religious schools as well as Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina and Tamil.
