SHAH ALAM, Jan 1 —  Repair works due to a pipe burst incident at Bukit Indah Industrial Park, Sungai Buloh, has reached 78 per cent as of 6pm today, says Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor).

The agency said the ongoing repair works are expected to be fully completed at 10pm.

“Water supply will be distributed to the consumers’ premises in stages once the repair works are completed.

“The duration of the water supply recovery in the affected areas will vary depending on the distance of the consumers’ premises and the water pressure at the distribution system.

“Air Selangor will continue to mobilise water tankers to the affected areas, with priority given to critical premises such as hospitals, clinics, dialysis centres and funerals,” it said on Facebook.

Earlier, Air Selangor said the pipe burst incident had caused unscheduled water cuts in several areas in Gombak and Kuala Lumpur.

Among the affected areas in the Gombak include Taman Ampang Indah, Taman Ampang Jaya, Taman Ampang Utama, Taman Bukit Indah, Taman Dagang Permai and Taman Kosas.

While in Kuala Lumpur, the areas hit include Bukit Bandaraya, Bukit Bangsar, Brickfields, Taman Lucky, Taman Bandaraya and Taman Bangsar.
