KLANG, Jan 5 — The Klang Municipal Council (MPK) is opening Ramadan bazaar permit applications online from January 25 to February 14.
Its president Noraini Roslan said 2,229 Ramadan bazaar plots in 40 locations are available and applications can be made through iportal.mpklang.gov.my/PermitOnline.
“The fee charged is RM310 for sites not used for night markets, while RM270 for night market sites.
“The number of plots increased this year as compared to last year which only had 887 Ramadan bazaar plots. This is because we received many requests from traders,” she said when met after the swearing-in ceremony of MPK councilors for the 2023 term at the MPK headquarters, here yesterday.
Noraini also reminded Ramadan bazaar traders to wear face masks and maintain personal hygiene to avoid the spreading of diseases.
“MPK is very concerned about SOP (standard operating procedure) compliance to ensure that there would be no epidemic issues while bazaar operations could run smoothly,” she said.
Meanwhile, Noraini also welcomes Klang residents who want to pay assessment tax to come to the mobile counter every Saturday and Sunday this month.
“This campaign will be implemented on January 21 to 22 in front of Econsave Supermarket Kapar and January 28 to 29 at Proton Apartments, Taman Maznah from 9am to 1pm.
“With the presence of this mobile counter, it will make it easier for residents to pay their respective assessment taxes. I hope many will take this opportunity,” she said.
