New MPSepang deputy chief, 23 councillors take oath

SEPANG, Jan 3 — Divisional Secretary (Management Services) of the State Secretary’s Office Muhamad Shah Osmin has been appointed as deputy chairman of the Sepang Municipal Council (MPSepang) today.

23 other individuals also took the oath and pledge of integrity as MPSepang councillors for the 2023 term in front of the president Dato’ Abd Hamid Hussain.

During the president’s speech, he informed that the councillors consisted of 17 re-appointments and six new members.

“The appointment of a councillor is not an honour but a great responsibility. Councillors must be sensitive to the publics’ needs and interests as well as be responsible for contributing ideas and expertise in advancing MPSepang.

“Council members also hold the role of supervising local authorities in carrying out their duties with trust and bring awareness to the community so that they fulfil their obligations and provide support in carrying out their duties,” he said.
