New PTGS counters on first floor of State Secretariat Building from February

SHAH ALAM, Jan 27 — The new Selangor Land and Mines Office (PTGS) counters will be fully operational on the first floor of the Selangor State Secretariat Building starting February.

The centralised operation houses 46 counters compared to before where transactions were done on both the lower ground level (LG) and fourth floor.

Selangor State Secretary Dato’ Haris Kasim said the new PTGS office originally belonged to the Public Works Department (JKR) but had been moved to Section 17.

“The new PTGS office was renovated and re-innovated to provide a comfortable space for staff to deal with customers.

“PTGS provides the main resources to the state government and needs to be strengthened so that it can provide better services for customers. With the consolidation of the office to one level, this can help about 800 to 1,000 customers,” he said when met during the handover ceremony of the PTGS’s new office at the Selangor State Secretariat Building, here yesterday.

Meanwhile, Haris said that the state government has plans to build its own land office in the future.

“The state government is planning to build a land office on its own in the long term because matters in PTGS are growing and there are needs of their own.

“So far the state government has agreed and is now conducting further discussions,” he said.
