PETALING JAYA, Jan 4 — Ramadan bazaar traders in Petaling Jaya are encouraged to join the Selangor Platform (Plats) mobile app to expand their business.

Petaling Jaya mayor Mohamad Azhan Md Amir said through the app, their products could be marketed on the platform, thus drawing more potential customers.

“Through Plats, their customer reach could be expanded further and not only limited to their areas, subsequently increasing their sales.

“We hope the bazaar traders will sign up with Plats as the application is still open,” he said when met after swearing-in as Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) councillor.

Mohamad Azhan added that MBPJ’s Licencing Department will help traders with the registration process.

As of November last year, nearly 20,000 traders have registered with Plats since the platform was launched in 2020.
