ST Rosyam Mart sets record as first grocery store to operate 24 hours

SHAH ALAM, Jan 6 — ST Rosyam Mart Sdn Bhd has gained recognition from the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) as the nation’s first modern grocery market which operates 24 hours year-round.

Its director Datuk Rosyam Nor said the recognition is a catalyst for the company to continue providing its best service to customers.

“Our dream to provide such a facility to the community has come true. We want the public to feel the experience of shopping in a five-star environment yet offering wholesale prices,” he said.

He was speaking at the award ceremony earlier today, which was officiated by the Ministry of Domestic Trade’s Deputy Secretary-General (Domestic Trade) Datuk Roziah Abudin.

Rosyam said the supermarket has six branches operating around the clock, with another to be opened in Taman Ehsan at Kepong early next month.

ST Rosyam Mart also aims to open some 20 branches around the Klang Valley by 2025, before expanding to other states, with low price offers of between 20 to 30 per cent.

“In addition to the low prices, it is also an opportunity for small entrepreneurs to place their products here, which will help increase the people’s purchasing power and economy,” he said.
