Applications for 2023 MPAJ Ramadan bazaar site reopen

By Shamz Johan

SHAH ALAM, Feb 22 — Applications for the 2023 Ramadan bazaar sites for the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) area were reopened yesterday.

Its deputy chairman Julaihah Jamaludin said among the locations with the most vacancies were Muhibah Complex, Sri Bayu, Ukay Perdana and Pandan Cahaya.

“So far, more than 200 of the total 938 sites are still open for rent to the public.

“There are 16 Ramadan bazaar locations to be opened this year,” she said.

For successful applicants, hats and aprons can be picked up at Level 4 Gallery, Menara MPAJ from February 20 to 28.

Julaihah said there are no plans to organise a mega bazaar for the Aidilfitri festival at the moment.

“MPAJ has no plans to organise an Aidilfitri mega bazaar because we have taken into account the congestion that will occur if it is organised. However, we will see the need (to organise it) in the future,” she said.

Previously, the application for the Ramadan bazaar sites came to a close on December 31, but was reopened due to the site being vacant still.

Interested public can apply for a Food Market Temporary Licence for 2023 through the MPAJ Vendor System portal at https://intranet.mpaj.gov.my/penjaja/login.php or contact the MPAJ Entrepreneur Licensing and Development Department at 03-42857344/ 7170 for inquiries and more information.
