SHAH ALAM, Feb 7 — Some 500 constituents of Kampung Tunku will receive the Skim Mesra Usia Emas (SMUE) shopping vouchers in stages beginning today.

Its state assemblyman Lim Yi Wei said the vouchers’ distribution to senior citizens and disabled person groups (OKUs) will be held at Kampung Tunku Community Service Centre in Taman Paramount, Petaling Jaya.

“The SMUE shopping vouchers will be distributed to those who have registered as well as those whose birthdays are in January and February,” she said on Facebook.

Lim said recipients who had received the invitation via SMS are welcome to collect their vouchers beginning today until Thursday (February 9), from 10am to 4pm.

“They must bring their identification card to prove their citizenship,” she added.

Previously, the state government announced that the eligibility household limit for the Jom Shopping voucher has been increased from RM2,000 to RM3,000 monthly beginning this year.

Recipients will also receive vouchers worth RM150 per year compared to RM100 last year including bereavement benefits of RM500.
