AMPANG JAYA, Feb 1 — The Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) launched a mobile counter with a new look, for the convenience and comfort of the residents in areas under its administration.

Its President Mohd Fauzi Mohd Yatim said the mobile counter is a vehicle equipped with the latest computer system facilities, with increased space and seats for senior citizens or pregnant women.

“The primary reason for launching this mobile counter is to make it easier for property owners in Ampang Jaya when paying their assessment taxes, as well as for other payments like compounds.

“The vehicle has two counters that can accept cash, card and cheque payments,” he said during the officiation ceremony at Level Four of Menara MPAJ yesterday.

The mobile counter will be situated in crowded localities including the Ampang Point shopping complex, mosques, morning markets, and pasar malam.

“Members of the public can check on the mobile counter’s operation schedule at www.mpaj.gov.my. Its collection target for this year is RM2 million,” Mohd Fauzi said.

He added the counter’s inaugural operation will commence in front of Ampang Point on February 1.
