Back-to-school aid for Sungai Ramal residents, over 300 students benefit — State rep

HULU LANGAT, March 4 — Some 350 students in the Sungai Ramal state constituency have received equipment to prepare them for a return to their studies, from a RM40,000 allocation.

Its state assemblyman Mazwan Johar said the aid via the back-to-school programme should begin distribution on March 12, shortly before the upcoming school session commences.

“Each recipient will receive RM100, in addition to necessary items like school bags, stationery, books and various other equipment.

“The programme is held annually for the Sungai Ramal state constituency, and thus far the applications have been very encouraging, hence why we continue this year,” he told SelangorKini.

Earlier today, Mazwan joined Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari for breakfast at the Section 1 food court, across the road from the Bandar Baru Bangi wet market.

Later on, Amirudin went on a walkabout to the market, stopping to chat with shoppers and traders in the area, as well as courteously agreeing to pose for pictures when asked by members of the public.
