Bandar Utama state constituency opens SMUE counter at SS21 Multipurpose Hall on March 8

SHAH ALAM, March 6 — Bandar Utama state constituency has opened application counters for the Skim Mesra Usia Emas (SMUE) and Skim Mesra Insan Istimewa (SMIS) from March 8 to 10.

Its Coordinating officer Hanis Mohamad said the counters are open from 11am to 4pm at the SS21 Multipurpose Hall, Damansara Utama.

”Congestions often occurs at our office because many residents would come to apply for various schemes offered by the state government.

“Because of that, we have opened counters at a larger location,” she said when contacted.

Hanis said more than 2,000 new applications for SMUE have been received and as of February, more than 3,800 recipients have claimed their Jom Shopping vouchers.

Previously, the state government announced that the household income eligibility limit for SMUE Jom Shopping voucher recipients will be increased from RM2,000 to RM3,000 per month starting this year.

Recipients will also receive a shopping voucher of RM150 a year compared to RM100 last year, as well as death benefit of RM500.
