SHAH ALAM, March 23 — The Bukit Gasing state constituency’s community service centre is inviting low-income families to apply for Bantuan Kehidupan Sejahtera Selangor (Bingkas) aid.
Bukit Gasing’s political secretary M. Kusaaliny said at the present, only 170 families are receiving RM300 in monthly assistance, while the constituency’s quota is for 506 families.
“Applications can be made during the centre’s mobile counter programme, at Cabin Resident Association Section 14/2 in Petaling Jaya, from 9.30am to 12pm on March 25.
“Those seeking to apply may also head to the centre’s service counter, at No. 27, Jalan 52/1, Petaling Jaya New Town, during office hours,” she told SelangorKini.
Bingkas a state government initiative to replace Kasih Ibu Smart Selangor (Kiss) and Kiss IT (Single Mothers) at a RM108 million allocation.
The programme, part of the 44 incentives under Iltizam Selangor Penyayang, provides up to RM3,600 in assistance annually to low-income families, which is paid via the Wavpay e-wallet app.
To qualify, Bingkas applicants must be Selangor residents for over a decade and vote in the state, with a monthly household income of under RM3,000, with at least two school-going children, and are not receiving aid from the Social Welfare Department and the Selangor Zakat Board.
