SHAH ALAM, March 30 — The Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) is distributing approximately 5,000 packs of bubur lambuk for its personnel and members of the public via its Ramadan Kasih programme.
PKNS corporate services senior general manager Sapna Turmidi said of this number, 1,000 packs were distributed to employees while another 500 to the general public, at PKNS’ Shah Alam Complex earlier today.
“The bubur lambuk will be distributed again to 500 visitors to the PKNS Complex on April 4, as well as during three additional sessions on April 4, April 6, and April 11, to PKNS staff members, with a total of 1,000 packs per session.
“Our bubur lambuk has been specially brought from Kampung Bharu in Kuala Lumpur, so Shah Alam residents do not have to go through the trouble of heading there to enjoy it,” he said.
Sapna was speaking at a press conference after inaugurating PKNS Ramadan Kasih, at the PKNS headquarters in Section 14 earlier today.
Prior to this, PKNS via Ramadan Kasih organised gotong-royong activity to clean and paint the house of the Pertubuhan Kebajikan Ehsan Ash-Shakur (Pekeas) in Bandar Tasik Puteri on March 18.
During Ramadan Kasih, 30 PKNS staff also handed out food to the homeless along Jalan Chow Kit and Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman in Kuala Lumpur, on 21 March.
PKNS also allocated RM10,000 for the distribution of food baskets via the Bekal Ramadan Kasih programme, to 50 recipients consisting of single mothers, orphans, the hardcore poor, and the elderly, on March 26.
