DatumCorp, Temu Jelatek distribute 2,000 packs of bubur lambuk

KUALA LUMPUR, April 1 — DatumCorp International Sdn Bhd (DatumCorp), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) in collaboration with Temu Jelatek distributed 2,000 packs of bubur lambuk, as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative.

PKNS’ Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Property Development) Md Kamarzan Md Rais said the CSR is a tradition of the company to be given as alms to the community during every Ramadan and this was the first at the newly opened shopping centre, Datum Jelatek Shopping Centre.

“The distribution of bubur lambuk is given to the visitors of the Datum Jelatek Shopping Centre, mosque, residents, orphanage, and the local authority in this area,” he told reporters after the bubur lambuk cooking and distribution here today.

Md Kamarzan, who is also the director of DatumCorp, added that Temu Jelatek’s Chef Zubillah Salahudin led the team of 50 employees from various positions of the company in the preparation, cooking, and distribution of the porridge.

He added the company will organise a fast-breaking event with orphanages at the Temu Jelatek event space on April 12, as part of their CSR programme.

Meanwhile, Md Kamarzan said the shopping centre currently has a 70 per cent occupancy rate, and hoping to reach 95 per cent occupancy rate by the fourth quarter of this year.

“Datum Jelatek shopping centre is still new, and there are still vacant lots available and currently being filled. We hope with more stores available soon, there would be more visitors here,” he added.

Md Kamarzan said they are currently in discussions with several leading brands that will open at Datum Jelatek Shopping Centre in stages.
