Hijrah Selangor organises TikTok marketing course to help boost entrepreneurs’ sales

By Diana Abd Wahab

SHAH ALAM, April 11 — Yayasan Hijrah Selangor is organising a marketing course on the TikTok app, in order to to help entrepreneurs increase their sales and income levels online.

Its entrepreneur development manager Elyani Iza Zuber said this is implemented by the Hijrah Entrepreneur Development Unit, to ensure entrepreneurs’ business sustainability can be improved upon.

“Hijrah Selangor decided to organise this course so the entrepreneurs can manage their businesses on social media, based on the latest video marketing trends, since TikTok is also one of the most popular platforms for shopping.

“We are looking to organise four training courses this year, with two held before Ramadan and which managed to draw in 82 participants,” she said when contacted.

During the first course, which saw 42 entrepreneurs, Hijrah Selangor aided them in achieving RM39,734 in cumulative sales via TikTok within two weeks.

Elyani added this is indicative the training has successfully managed to open another sales channel for entrepreneurs to promote products, and as such enable them to repay their loans to the foundation.

She said Hijrah Selangor is also focusing on training, particularly for soft skills, for entrepreneurs under its auspices.

“The Entrepreneur Development Unit also offers a booster course by providing five modules this year, by collaborating with several agencies so entrepreneurs can increase their knowledge.

“The participating agencies include the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) via PKNS Bizpoint, the Selangor Digital e-Supply Chain app where entrepreneurs can deepen their knowledge to strengthen their businesses, as well as develop them through digital applications,” Elyani said.
