GOMBAK, April 13 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari attended a prayer session for his safety and a fast-breaking meal, organised by Surau al-Karimiah at Kampung Laksamana yesterday afternoon.

The prayers for his safety were held in conjunction with his trip to Saudi Arabia today, where he will perform his umrah pilgrimage.

During the event, Amirudin also presented duit raya donations from Kampung Laksamana’s Traditional Village Community Management Council (MPKK) to 12 orphans.

This was followed by a fast-breaking meal and carrying out his Maghrib prayers with 300 of the surau’s congregants.

The Gombak MP later spent some time chatting and interacting with the congregants, before departing.
