SHAH ALAM, April 25 — A total of 10,000 guests are expected to attend the state government’s Jelajah Kita Selangor Aidilfitri open house programme at Padang Taman Sri Kerayong in Klang on April 30.
State executive councillor for culture Borhan Aman Shah said the programme, from 8pm to 11pm, will also be attended by His Royal Highness the Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj and Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
“The open house for this area based on the rewang sekampung concept, so each village will prepare its own menu and have them cooked in a gotong-royong fashion.
“The cooking will run from 8am to 5pm, with the meals to be served later in the night. Three cows will be slaughtered for the occassion,” he told SelangorKini.
Jelajah Kita Selangor Aidilfitri will be implemented for three consecutive days each week during the Syawal month, starting this Friday (April 28) at the morning market site in Pekan Salak, Sepang.
Asides from the open house, visitors will also have the opportunity to learn about the state government’s Iltizam Selangor Penyayang (ISP) initiative, which they can immediately apply for.
