PKNS targets RM1 bln GDV for housing projects this year

SHAH ALAM, May 2 — The Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) is targeting a gross development value (GDV) of about RM1 billion for six new housing and real estate projects by the end of this year.

PKNS deputy chief executive officer (management and entrepreneurship) Suhaimi Kasdon said, however, the projection is subject to current market conditions.

“This year’s projects involve more than 5,000 housing units in several locations, including in Shah Alam, Kota Puteri, Kuala Selangor, and Antara Gapi, Rawang,” he told reporters after launching the Discover PKNS 2023 Campaign, earlier today.

Commenting on the campaign, Suhaimi said the Discover PKNS campaign will be implemented in five locations starting this Saturday until Oct 29 namely Kota Puteri, Antara Gapi, Selangor Cyber Valley, Cyberjaya; PKNS Complex and closing at the Shah Alam Convention Centre here.

Discover PKNS 2023 is a campaign in the form of a carnival activity that acts as a platform to promote PKNS projects involving the local community in addition to the participation of PKNS strategic partners.

“It is also to attract the public’s involvement or public engagement through activities that involve the community in the PKNS municipality as well as a platform to attract the interest of potential buyers and strengthen the public’s awareness or to create public awareness about the PKNS housing products through the promotion of existing and future PKNS projects,” he said.

Through the campaign, it was also possible to increase sales of PKNS products and strengthen relationships with existing home buyers, potential buyers, community leaders, banks, vendors, lawyers and interested parties in the townships developed by PKNS.

Suhaimi said two campaign series last year namely Discover Aurora and Discover Azhara had achieved the set targets, hence PKNS would continue similar campaigns more systematically and include all PKNS townships.

“Various interesting activities await visitors at all locations of the campaign, including cycling activities, fishing, cooking competitions, premier forums, performances by popular local artists, tele matches, and exhibitions,” he said.
