SHAH ALAM, May 9 — Selangor FC players’ performance and play style during this season’s Super League tournament has been perceived as being an improvement compared to the last season, said its chief executive officer Johan Kamal.
Nonetheless, he reminded players not to succumb to complacency, but instead to strive for success and reach the peak, since the tournament is still far ahead.
“At present, we have been seeing improvements. It is satisfying compared to the last season, yet we must continue to improve our weaknesses and performance to complete the season with excellence.
“Players must be committed so the points tally does not drop as it did with our Sabah opponents (losing 2 – 1). Continue this winning momentum for the next match,” Johan said at the open house ceremony yesterday.
Meanwhile, commenting on the second transfer window that opens in July, he said some new players may be brought in to further augment Selangor FC’s strengths.
“Now we will focus on the available players, as a few games remain. When the time comes, we will consider bringing in more players. For now, we will evaluate the available players,” Johan said.
