SHAH ALAM, May 17 — A total of 185 state government civil servants were granted the Outstanding Service Award (APC), the Outstanding Service Medal (PPC) 2022, and the Anugerah Jasamu Dikenang (AJD) award yesterday.
The presentation ceremony was officiated by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, at the Concorde Hotel. Selangor State Secretary Datuk Haris Kasim headed the list of recipients.
They consisted of personnel from 10 departments, including the Selangor State Secretary’s Office, the Selangor State Treasury, the Selangor Land and Mines Office, the Selangor Public Service Commission, and His Royal Highness the Sultan of Selangor’s office.
Others include the Selangor Mufti’s Department, the Selangor Syariah Justice Department, the Selangor Housing and Real Estate Board, the Selangor Malay Customs and Heritage Corporation, and the Selangor Sports Council.
The APC is an appreciation for civil servants who have provided excellent service, while the AJD is granted to those who have served for over a quarter of a century, as well as serving in the Selangor State Secretary’s Office for at least a year, or officers and personnel who have compulsorily retired or passed on in the year of the award.
AJD 2023 recipient Abdul Khalil Sabiis, 61, said he was touched at receiving this honour, after serving with various agencies under the state government for the past 42 years.
“This is the most remarkable award for me, as a reminder and a catalyst of enthusiasm for the younger generation, to serve as best as possible in state government agencies,” he said when met.
